Supabase free tier vs Neon vs PlanetScale – which one actually gives the most for free??

Don’t need anything crazy, just want something that won’t randomly delete my data 😅

Also what’s the DX like??

Neon is also lit for PostgreSQL specifically 🔥

Branching is amazing for testing stuff, and the free tier gives 512MB which is enough for side projects

The only downside is it’s serverless so cold starts exist, but for hobby stuff who cares lol

Supabase free tier is actually crazy good 🤯

500MB storage, 2GB bandwidth, auth included, real-time subs

The admin UI is beautiful and it’s literally just PostgreSQL underneath

Switched all my hobby projects to Supabase, zero regrets
