PlanetScale vs Neon vs Supabase – which serverless DB for startups?

0

Launching our SaaS next month and need to pick a database. Going with serverless/postgres approach for cost savings.

These three seem popular:

  • PlanetScale – MySQL compatible, Vitess under hood
  • Neon – True serverless Postgres
  • Supabase – Postgres + built-in auth/storage

Requirements:

  • 1-1000 users to start
  • Need branching for dev workflows
  • Good TypeScript support

What’s your experience? Which one won’t burn through our seed funding? 😅
