Supabase: Open source, PostgreSQL, best for devs who know SQL
Firebase: Google ecosystem, easiest auth, but expensive at scale
Appwrite: Newer, Docker self-host option, improving fast
My pick: Supabase for startups, Firebase for quick prototypes
