ElevenLabs user here! 🎉
I’ve tried all three for my YouTube channel (40K+ subs). Here’s my take:
ElevenLabs – Best voice quality, period. The emotion control is insane. Been using it for 6 months now. Yes it’s pricier but worth every penny for professional content.
Murf – Good variety of voices but feels more “corporate”. Good for business videos but a bit stiff for creative content.
WellSaidLabs – Decent but not as natural as ElevenLabs. The speed is faster though.
My pick: ElevenLabs. The voice cloning + emotion control is next level. 👀
Neon is the move in 2026! Here’s why:
Neon – Serverless PostgreSQL. You only pay for what you use. Free tier is super generous. Branching is killer for testing.
Supabase – Also great, but Neon feels more ” Postgres-native” if that makes sense.
PlanetScale – MySQL compatible, but they’ve been having some issues lately.
For hobby projects: Neon or Supabase. You literally can’t go wrong with either.
Stripe gang represent! 💳
I know LS is popular now but Stripe is still the standard:
– More integrations
– Better docs
– Established, reliable
The tax thing is annoying but there’s now Stripe Tax (costs extra but works).
If you’re serious about payments, Stripe. The dev experience is unmatched. 🔥
Building another side project (who isn’t lol) and need to pick a database.
What I’m building: simple SaaS with users, posts, comments, basic analytics
My understanding:
- PostgreSQL – Most powerful, bit complex
- MySQL – Simpler, widely used
- SQLite – For small stuff, no setup
Currently leaning towards Supabase (PostgreSQL) but plain MySQL seems easier?
PocketBase is actually production-ready now! I’ve been running it for 6 months with zero issues.
It’s perfect for small projects. The simplicity is a feature, not a bug.
For anything serious: Supabase. For quick prototypes: PocketBase.
Midjourney for thumbnails period. 🎨
I’m a YouTuber (150K+ subs) and here’s my workflow:
Midjourney – Best image quality, most consistent style. The V6 model is insane. Yes you need to learn prompt engineering but worth it.
DALL-E 4 – Good for generating text IN images (useful for thumbnails!). But style is kinda… generic?
Stable Diffusion – Free and local but requires setup. Great if you want full control.
For thumbnails specifically: Midjourney > DALL-E > SD. 🎯
Windsurf user here! 🎉
Switched from Copilot to Windsurf last month and honestly loving it. The IDE integration is smooth and it handles my React + Node stack really well.
Cursor seems more popular but Windsurf feels more… developed? if that makes sense? Like it’s not just another Copilot clone.
Both have free tiers so just try both! 👀
Sonar is more established but CodeRabbit feels more modern if that makes sense? Like the UI is cleaner and integrations are easier
Need collaborative spreadsheet with power.
Airtable is database-like. SmartSheet is enterprise. Monday is flexible.
Which has best automation?
Running LLM locally. Need privacy.
Ollama is simple. LM Studio is GUI. Jan is open source.
Which uses least RAM?
