Switched to MacBook Pro for dev work and want to optimize my workflow. Everyone raves about Raycast but Alfred has been around longer.
What I need:
- Quick app launching (obvs)
- Clipboard history
- Window management
- Code snippets
- GitHub/Linear integrations (I’m a dev)
Is Raycast worth the $10/mo after trial? Or is Alfred still king for power users?
Also – does it actually boost productivity or is it just terminal flex? 😆
Fly.io gang rise up! 🚀
Global edge deployment is crazy fast, and you can run Docker which gives you full control
Free tier includes 3 VMs + 1GB storage
The only hassle is initial setup but once it’s up it’s solid
Neon is also lit for PostgreSQL specifically 🔥
Branching is amazing for testing stuff, and the free tier gives 512MB which is enough for side projects
The only downside is it’s serverless so cold starts exist, but for hobby stuff who cares lol
Finally finished my first side project and now I need to deploy it lol
It’s a Node.js API with PostgreSQL
All three seem good but which one has the best DX and free tier??
Don’t wanna deal with Docker too much honestly 😅
Hey everyone, wanna get into AI art generation but so overwhelmed rn 😅
Basically I just want to make cool cover images for my blog and social media. Nothing too crazy.
My situation:
- Complete beginner to AI art
- On a budget (free or cheap preferred)
- Don’t need super realistic, more like stylized/illustrations
Which one should I start with??
Building my first real project and need to deploy it. It’s a simple Next.js app with some API routes.
I’ve been looking at:
- Vercel – seems easiest but the free tier limits?
- Railway – looks good but mixed reviews
- Cloudflare Pages – free and fast?
- DigitalOcean – more control but harder to set up
What’s the best choice for a solo dev with basically no budget? 😅
Main concerns: cost, ease of use, and potential to scale later.
Hey everyone, finally upgrading my setup and so confused rn 😅
Been using a 5-year-old Dell and it’s dying. My budget is around $1500-2000.
Main use: Full-stack dev (React/Node) + some Docker stuff + maybe some light ML later
Should I go MacBook Pro M4 or stick with Windows? Like I know Mac is popular among devs but Windows has WSL2 now…
Also considering: should I wait for the new M4 MacBooks or just get now?
pls help a brother out ðŸ˜
I’ve been using Supabase for a few months now and honestly it’s pretty solid! The AI features are fire and it integrates well with my workflow.
chatgpt is easiest to start with
hubspot free tier is good to start
