Student here, need something for thesis notes + personal wiki. Tried Notion but the UI feels kinda dated. Obsidian seems complex but powerful. Also heard about Craft – looks pretty! What’s the move? Need something that works on iPad + Mac, can handle lots of notes, and won’t break the bank.

honestly just use obsidian lol. free + local + plugins = best combo. notion keeps adding ai features i don’t need.

Notion user for 3 years here. For thesis work: Notion is good for structured data. Obsidian is best for linking notes, free, local-first. Craft is pretty but pricey. My recommendation: Obsidian for thesis. The bidirectional linking is game-changing!
