Made the switch from Sketch to Figma 2 years ago, never looked back.
Figma is free for individuals (up to 3 projects), works in browser (no Mac-only!), and collaboration is WAY better. The prototyping is also more intuitive.
Sketch still works fine but honestly Figma won. Most new jobs list Figma, not Sketch.

Yes the learning curve exists, but once you get it, you build UIs WAY faster. No more switching between HTML and CSS files.
The utilities make responsive design way easier too. Just use md: or lg: prefixes and done.
Started with Sublime, tried JetBrains stuff, always came back to VS Code.
Free, lightweight, customizable AF. What more do you need?
Only thing Id say is – dont sleep on Zed. Its newer but super fast for Rust/JS devs.
Non-coder founder here, need to ship MVP fast. These AI-powered builders all claim to be the fastest way to build apps??
Already tried Bolt but hit limitations with custom APIs. Lovable looks promising but newer?
What would you recommend for rapid prototyping?
Startup founder here, need to deploy my first production app. These platforms all look good but which one actually delivers??
Priorities: easy setup, fair pricing, good DX, reliable uptime
What are you using? Need real recommendations!
Starting a new side project and torn between Supabase and Firebase 😩
Supabase feels more “SQL-native” with PostgreSQL, but Firebase has that sweet Google ecosystem
Planning to build something like a mini social app with real-time features
What would you recommend? Need real opinions from people who actually used both!
