Building landing pages for my SaaS product and torn between these options
Framer looks gorgeous but limited? Webflow has learning curve but powerful?
WordPress feels outdated but so much stuff out there?
Need: fast load, good SEO, easy A/B testing
Budget: willing to pay for quality
Running a one-person business and need to automate some workflows
Zapier most popular but pricey, Make looks good, n8n is open source/self-hostable
Use case: lead capture, email sequences, social media posting
What you all using? Worth paying for Zapier or self-host n8n?
Okay so I been seeing ads for all these AI coding platforms everywhere lol
Bolt.new been popping up in my feed, Lovable looks clean, and Cursor is supposedly the VSCode killer
But like… which one actually works for real projects?? Not just demos??
My stack: React/Next.js mainly, building SaaS stuff
Budget: willing to pay if its actually better than free alternatives
Backend dev here, need to test APIs all day
Postman is the standard but it’s so bloated now??
Heard Insomnia is lighter and more developer-friendly
What’s HoppScotch? Is it any good?
My needs: REST + GraphQL, environment variables, some automation
Working on: Node.js/Express + some external APIs

Using Neon for my side project and loving it! 🎉
Here’s why I chose Neon over the others:
Neon – It’s literally just PostgreSQL but serverless. No weird proprietary syntax. The branching feature is super cool for testing.
Supabase – More features but heavier. Good if you need auth + storage built-in. But I just need a DB.
PlanetScale – Had issues with their pricing changes. Also Vitess under the hood means some SQL limitations.
My pick: Neon for pure PostgreSQL experience. Supabase if you want the full package. 🔥
Quick update for 2026:
All three have improved MASSIVELY this year:
Midjourney V7 – Still the king of quality. Style consistency is unmatched.
DALL-E 4 – Text generation is actually GOOD now. Fast and reliable.
SD3 – The new model is insane. Runs locally, no subscription, quality rivals MJ.
My pick for thumbnails in 2026:
- Budget conscious: DALL-E 4
- Quality focused: Midjourney
- Full control: Stable Diffusion
All are viable now. Pick based on your needs! 🔥
Vercel all the way for Next.js! 🔥
Built my last 3 projects on Vercel and it’s just… seamless? The deployments are fast, the analytics are great, and everything just works.
Netlify is good too but feels more for static sites. Cloudflare Pages is blazing fast but the ecosystem isn’t as mature.
For Next.js specifically: Vercel. Trust me. 🚀
PostgreSQL all the way. Here’s why:
PostgreSQL – Most features, best performance, JSON support, row-level security. Free and open source. Used by everyone from startups to big tech.
MySQL – Simpler but less powerful. Good for simple read-heavy apps. MariaDB is the open-source alternative.
SQLite – Great for local dev, prototypes, small apps. No server needed!
For side projects: Start with Supabase (PostgreSQL). Easy setup, generous free tier, scales with you. 🔥
Linear all the way! 🎯
Our startup switched from Jira to Linear last month and it’s been amazing:
Pros:
- Blazing fast UI – Jira feels like a dinosaur
- Beautiful design that your team will actually want to use
- Great keyboard shortcuts
- Solid integrations (GitHub, Slack, etc)
Cons:
- No time tracking built-in (but we use Toggl)
- Smaller than Jira so fewer integrations
For a team of 5-50, Linear is perfect. Jira is overkill. 👀
Startup founder here! Our team of 5 needs a better way to track tasks and projects.
We’ve tried Notion but it feels slow for project management. Looking at Linear and Jira now:
- Linear – Looks beautiful, fast, but is it feature-complete?
- Jira – Enterprise standard but complex?
- Notion – We already use it but it’s not great for PM
What are you using? Any recommendations for a small but growing team? 💪
