Thinking about getting an Apple Watch mainly for focus/time tracking and maybe standing more.

Devs who have one – is it actually useful? Or just a fancy notification machine?

Not sure if its worth the $300+

Have one, use it mainly for timers and alarms while coding. Also nice to see if a message is urgent without checking phone.

The standing reminders actually work – I do stand more. Worth it for that alone?

Probably not. Save your money for other dev stuff.

Dev here with Series 9. Honestly not worth it for coding.

The useful stuff: activity tracking, notifications, quick timers. But for $400+? You can get a great mechanical keyboard instead.

Only get it if you already in the Apple ecosystem and want health tracking.
