Freelancer here! Been using Notion for client management but feeling a bit limited 😩
Someone recommended Coda and ClickUp but not sure which fits my workflow:
- Client project tracking
- Time tracking
- Invoicing would be nice
- Simple enough that clients can use too
What are you using? Any recommendations for a one-person business? 💪
Coda gang represent! 🎉
Switched from Notion to Coda last year and never looked back:
Coda is basically Notion + Airtable combined. The doc tables are insane – you can build actual apps inside your docs.
For freelancers: you can build a client portal with:
- Project tracking
- Invoicing
- Time tracking
- Client dashboard
All in ONE doc. The automation features are killer.
Notion is still great for simple stuff. But Coda is next level. 🚀
ClickUp fan here! 🎯
I know people complain about the learning curve but once you get it, it’s SO powerful.
The time tracking + invoicing combo is legit for freelancers. Notion doesn’t have native time tracking.
That said, if you just need simple client portals, Notion is easier to set up.
Depends on your needs honestly! 🤔
Notion for the win! 🙌
I’ve tried all three (actually use Notion daily for my freelance work):
Notion – Perfect for docs + databases + project tracking. The templates are killer. Clients love it too.
Coda – More powerful but steeper learning curve. Great if you need serious automation.
ClickUp – Too complex honestly. Feels like overkill for a one-person biz.
Just use Notion. Trust me. 💪
